Pen, Paper, Rucksack
Hello! This is where I tell you about my wonderful, adventurous, Instagram life, always on the move, catching local buses to unvisited places, and hanging out with laughing locals. Or about all the bad things that have happened to me, the adversity that's shaped me and set me on my journey. But it isn't really like that. Good things happen, bad things happen. I've travelled and worked and learned things, and some of it is good, some of it not so good. But I love stories, and now I've written a book. I wrote it with a pen, in bars and cafes in various countries, on cheap pads of paper made grubby by being thrust into rusksacks. So this website isn't really for me, it's for The Water Shine.
The Water Shine
Nina is a traveller, working her way around the world because she doesn't want to come home, until one morning, swimming in New Zealand, a wave pulls her down and keeps her down, and her body is found floating in the sea.

Nat is a reporter writing a book about miraculous survivors, people who came back to life when technically dead. He has interviewed all the people on his list but one - a young woman who, having been pulled from the sea and brought back to life, appears to have vanished.

When Nat tracks down a woman with no past who looks a lot like Nina, it seems the mystery is solved. But is the woman he meets really Nina? And if not, what has become of her?

"I am a miracle,
so must be interviewed,
must be photographed, must be explained."
